Robin Dunning, Eagala Certified Equine Professional

Eagala Network Coordinator

Eagala Ethics Committee

Our Team

Ann joined Horse Inspired in 2015 and brings over 20 years experience working as a psychotherapist. Before opening her private practice here in Easton, Maryland, Ann owned a farm in North Carolina where she provided Equine Assisted Therapy for her clients. Ann's role in the session is to observe the client interaction with the horses and blend her observations with those of the Equine Professional in order to help the client identify the issues that are arising and guide the treatment process. With her many years experience as a therapist and lifelong horsewoman, Ann brings an understanding of the nature of horses and how they can become a powerful partner in helping clients.

Robin has been working with horses for the past 35 years training, instructing, breeding and competing on a local and national level. In addition, she owned and operated her horse farm for  22 years. The importance of selecting horses for this program requires someone that, not only has an in depth understanding of horses but can also observe them in their natural environment which is crucial to the process of selecting horses that are appropriate for the program. During sessions it is her job to observe the horses and how they are interacting with the clients watching for patterns to emerge.  Because the horses will respond in often subtle ways it is her responsibility to identify questions that will aid the client in discovery. Robin has also worked in the mental health field as a mental health worker at Sheppard Pratt Hospital. Robin also serves on the EAGALA Ethics Committee.

The Horse Inspired Growth & Learning Center Inc. was established in 2005 by Robin Dunning and Pam Dudek for the purpose of providing an ethical, powerful resource for improving lives through the use of horses. After researching certification programs they chose the EAGALA model because of its worldwide support of professionals working in the field of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning. EAGALA is known as the global standard for Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Development.
